Infrequently Noted

Alex Russell on browsers, standards, and the process of progress.

Comments for Ouch.

Hrm, he pretty clearly says:
" Firefox, Chrome and Safari are rendering the layout just fine."

Sounds like this isn't about WebKit, it's about when we finally get access to the web of the future.

Hi Alex,

Sorry to comment like this but i couldnt find any other way to get in touch.

I attended the Web 2.0 in NY but i couldnt find any of your slides on the web from your talk about HTML 5. Did you make them available? If you did, could you send me the link?!

Thanks

He doesn't post the link or source of the page he's been testing with, nor did he test in any other engine than Webkit, so it's difficult to say if he's right or not. It might well been incorrect markup that Webkit handles better, or some Webkit-specific code.

From my experience (limited, as I don't do much CSS anymore) IE9 is rather good at using the same markup as other browsers. Shame about WinXP though.
