[...] I am pleased to announce that I am now officially a SitePen employee. Today is my first day with SitePen, and I am very excited to be surrounded (in a virtual sense) by such a brilliant group of people. I will be a Research and Development Associate under Alex Russell. SitePen is extremely forward thinking in evolving web technology and pursuing the Open Web, and therefore I will continue to have opportunities to work towards open formats and standards for JSON interchange and interoperability, as well as other new arenas of development. SitePen has a strong sense that what is good for the web is good for SitePen, and in doing some has made incredible contributions to the open source community in Dojo, Dojo Offline (and it’s influence on Google Gears), and more, and I am exciting to join with SitePen in the pursuit of a better web for everyone.
<strong>(How To) Hire Me</strong>

I ranted in bit recently in other people's comments (here and here) about the current job market versus the perceived job market. That's nothing new; what is new is that I then got a couple of feelers back about possible...

[...] I’m excited to announce that SitePen is hiring in our R&D department, which roughly translates into “do research on how to improve the Open Web, make it a reality through Open Source software, and get paid to do it”. If that sounds like your dream job, we want to talk to you. [...]
